    Hello there,

Thanks for the ticket. Can you please provide a temporary username and password for the wp-login information in a private reply so that I can check the issue?

Also, which section you are trying to enable comments for? blog or pages?

    Thanks

    Hello there,

Thanks for the link and login information.

I've checked your website and the comment section is working fine now as you can see in the following test post that I just created:

    http://www.manuelcecchini.it/articoli/

For some reason, it can not be shown for your old posts probably due to a setting that has been stored in the database. Please delete your old posts and add them again and comment section will be visible.

Ok, now we have a critical issue about the way you have customized your website. Apparently, you have made changes in the theme core files which is something you should seriously avoid because you won't be able to update your website or theme version and this will probably cause some serious security issues in the future.

Any kind of customization should be done within a child-theme. I've installed one on your website. For example, if you want to customize the sidebar and add a language switcher, copy the original sidebar.php file in your child theme and then edit it instead of editing the core file. This way you can easily update your theme without losing your customizations.

Here is what I have done for reference:

1- Updated faculty theme to the latest version

2- Updated Visual Composer plugin so it works with WordPress 4.7+ ( the previous one had issues with it)

    3- installed faculty child theme

4- added your custom CSS styles to the child theme style.css file

5- overrode the sidebar.php file in child-theme and added the Polylang language switcher.

You might find out that some of your changes are gone, in that case, if you can do them again in your child-theme and if you needed any help please let me know and I will guide you.

    Regards,

    Ehsan
